Sir Robert McAlpine Team to cycle 400 miles to raise funds for Maggie's Cancer Centres

Alloy Fabweld think this is such an amazing cause that we've sponsored SRM the branded Jersey

Our client, Sir Robert McAlpine, are generously giving their hard work, time and energy to cycle 100 miles per day, over 4 days, as a group of roughly 40 riders, riding 400 miles, out of London. Each day the SRM team will visit 4 different Maggie's Cancer Centres - the Royal Marsden, Cambridge, Oxford and Southampton.

If you are inspired to donate in any way to help others impacted and support the great work of Maggie's, please read down for more details...

Maggie’s is a charity providing free cancer support & information centres across the UK and online.

The Sir Robert McAlpine team will be speaking with volunteers and understanding what work they are doing to help support individuals and their families who are battling cancer. You can follow the link here to understand more about who Maggies are and what they do.

You can sponsor the SRM team with a £1,000 donation for your company branded high viz vest, worn by a rider each day - that represents the equivalent of a leader’s jersey - similarly to a grand tour.

This is a great marketing opportunity as the vest will be included in all of the internal SRM communications and will help build your brand within the SRM organisation.

This cause aligns with Alloy Fabweld's core values and 'why' at the heart of our business of 'making communities work'.

We understand more people are sadly being impacted by issues around cancer, be they a parent, young carer, adult carer, friends, teachers, group leaders and as an employer. Maggie's offers support, information and advice on their website and within their Centre's - so no one has to feel alone in the event of this happening and have the best support in the event this may impact you or someone that you know.

Every little helps, the £1,000 jersey sponsorship would be really amazing, but if not, any support you are able to give for the SRM cycle challenge, please do this via Richard's just giving page.

"I have seen first-hand the significant impact Maggie’s makes to individuals experiencing a cancer diagnosis. Their beautifully designed centres have an instantly calming effect and the staff are on hand to offer a full range of support."

Shona Robison, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport.
