A 100k walk for charity!
Our business friend, James is bravely taking part in the Thames Path Challenge on the weekend of 7-8 September, walking a staggering 100k from Putney Bridge to Henley.
James has been tirelessly raising funds for The Daisy Network over the last few years by taking up various challenges, pushing himself for a charity that has deeply affected him and his wife. We are very pleased to be able to support James with a company charity donation and wish him the best of luck in this year's challenge.
The Daisy Network was created to provide support to women, along with their families and partners, who have been diagnosed with POI (Premature Ovarian Insufficiency) which can bring on early menopause and have devastating effects such as not being able to have biological children of their own. The diagnosis can feel incredibly isolating and often women are left confused and unsure where to go for support and further information.
The Daisy Network provides members with information and the latest research findings, including: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and other treatment options.
To be able to manage the longer term health implications (such as bone and cardiovascular health), nutrition and the psychological impact. Egg donation, adoption or leading a positively childless life.
