Supporting CVSU's Dragon Apprentice Challenge in Essex

The Uttlesford Dragons Apprentice Challenge is an innovative annual business challenge for students.

Teams, typically between 16 and 17 years old, are given £100 seed capital, matched with a local

business professional (their ‘Dragon’) and paired with a local charity partner. Launched in late

September 2017, the teams have four months to come up with a business idea, make it happen,

and report on it. The aim is to turn their £100 into £1000-plus through a single or a series of business ideas. All profits made by the teams are presented directly to their charity, and an awards evening will be held in April 2018 to celebrate their achievements.

Shaun Pledger, Group MD and Craig Clarkson, General Manager of our brand Flexi Group signed up to the challenge of being a mentor to the local business students, seeing it as an opportunity to help support our high-flyers of the future.
