WELDER - ARCHITECTURAL METALWORK

In this important role at Alloy Fabweld Ltd, as a Welder, you are an important skilled person within our manufacturing business and will be responsible for designing, cutting, and permanently joining metal parts together through the application of appropriate welding techniques and part of the team making the products.

You will be responsible for fusing metal materials together using high-heat equipment and welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and electric arc welding. Working with a range of materials and equipment in fitting and assembling metal components to form structures with hand-welding equipment and machinery.

Welding specialist

The Role:

As a Welder, you are an important skilled person within our manufacturing business, and will be responsible for designing, cutting, and permanently joining metal parts together through the application of appropriate welding techniques and part of the team making the products.

 

Key Responsibilities of this role:

You will be responsible for fusing metal materials together using heat equipment and welding processes such as MIG, TIG. Working with a range of materials and equipment in fitting and assembling metal components to form structures with hand-welding equipment and machinery.

You will be handling metal materials such as - aluminium, stainless steel, and the full range of architectural steelwork. In performing your duties, reading blueprints and drawings to identify welding measurements and position.

 

  • Conducting assessments to determine appropriate welding methods and equipment.

  • Set up and install welding components/equipment according to set specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal parts.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols by wearing protective gloves, masks, and boots.

  • Monitoring equipment operation to ensure temperature conditions are optimal.

  • Adhere to health/safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a risk-free work environment.

 

Essential Skills/Experience for this role:

  • Welding

  • Flexibility

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Good timekeeping.

  • Live in/within a commutable distance of Great Dunmow.

  • The ideal candidate will be a team player, have a good attitude towards work, be able to work with (and without) supervision and be prepared to undertake other supporting tasks as and when required.

 

You will be a part of the team at Alloy Fabweld Ltd, providing large-scale architectural metalwork across the UK, specialising in staircases, high-rises, residential contracts, cladding, and rain-screen bespoke packages aligned to metalwork packages and for public work contracts - such as stations and infrastructure.
