Brandon House
Crest Nicholson, London
The balconies were an important part of the residential offer, providing private outdoor space for city living while adding depth and definition to the building elevations. Designed to complement the architectural style of the development, they helped create a refined and modern façade suited to the prime central London location.
Alloy Fabweld also delivered the cladding and brise soleil elements, helping to enhance the building’s visual identity while supporting practical performance. The solar shading provided by the brise soleil helped reduce solar gain and improve comfort for residents, while the cladding added texture, contrast and a clean contemporary finish across the scheme.
Working on a prominent urban site required careful coordination, accurate fabrication and a strong focus on quality. With a mix of residential and commercial uses, every element needed to be robust, well-finished and integrated carefully with the wider building envelope.
Alloy Fabweld’s contribution to Brandon House demonstrates their ability to deliver complex architectural metalwork packages for high-end residential developments in demanding city locations. Through carefully detailed balconies, cladding and solar shading, the team helped complete a distinctive SE1 scheme that balances modern design, resident amenity and long-term performance.
"Alloy Fabweld delivered the Brandon House metalwork package with precision, professionalism and attention to detail. Their work on the balconies, cladding and brise soleil helped create a high-quality finish that supports both the appearance and performance of this standout SE1 development."

Brandon House is a high-quality residential-led mixed-use development in the heart of SE1, positioned directly opposite Borough Underground Station and close to some of London’s most recognisable destinations, including Borough Market, London Bridge, the South Bank and The Shard. Set on Borough High Street, the scheme combines contemporary homes with commercial space, creating a striking addition to one of London’s most historic and well-connected neighbourhoods.
Alloy Fabweld was appointed by Crest Nicholson to deliver a £2 million architectural metalwork package for the project. Their scope included the design, manufacture and installation of striking cladding, brise soleil solar shading and contemporary balconies, each contributing to the appearance, comfort and performance of the completed development.
