1996

Alloy Fabweld Ltd was formed in 1996 to fill a gap in the local non-ferrous fabrication market beginning with process engineering contracts for export and Alloy Facade manufacture for a buoyant UK commercial market.
1998

From humble beginnings, the business developed quickly from an initial two employees (Directors) to 12 employees at the beginning of 1998.
1999

The success of securing a large non-ferrous contract at the Royal Opera-House elevated the fortunes of the business further. Undertaking the manufacture and install of staircases, handrails and internal panelling to the Floral Hall along with structural seating to the lower theatre areas, the contract completed successfully just before the millennium to the value of £1.4m.
2000

Moving into the early 2000's a number of successful contracts followed including:- Berkeley Homes, Embankment Project (balcony supply and install), value £1.3m; St James, Hendon Lane (balconies and cladding), value £1.1m; The HAT Wembley, with Lovell Partnerships (balconies and staircases) value £1.8m.
2004

In 2004, Alloy Fabweld entered a new phase of growth, moving into a purpose-built 8,000 sq ft facility equipped with full fabrication and sheet metal capabilities. With staff numbers rising to 40 and turnover nearing £3 million, this period marked the foundation of our reputation in architectural and structural glass. Between 2004 and 2008, the business saw stable, consistent growth, with a shift towards technically driven production and Alloy Fabweld becoming an early leader in 3D design and build.
2008

In 2008, Alloy Fabweld expanded internationally with the opening of our Polish technical facility—enhancing our capacity for detailed build ability, particularly in metalwork and cladding systems. This milestone coincided with a series of landmark contracts that firmly established us as one of the UK’s few true ‘one-stop shop’ suppliers and installers of architectural metalwork. Notable projects included The Triangle in Cambridge, Campbell Park in Milton Keynes, and Kidbrooke Village in London.
2017

In response to growing demand for efficient and economical solutions, Alloy Fabweld launched Flexi Group—a dedicated range of cost-effective stair, balcony, and formwork systems tailored for the construction industry. Designed to simplify buildability without compromising on quality or compliance, Flexi Group offers practical solutions for fast-paced projects and value-driven developments.
2018

We expanded our operations with a new 16,000 sq ft facility in Gosfield, boosting our offsite manufacturing capacity and improving efficiency, quality, and safety. A new sheet metal workshop—backed by an £800k investment—enhanced our bespoke capabilities, while the launch of our in-house spray shop allowed us to paint balconies on site, reducing turnaround times and improving finish control.
2019

Proud to launch Hashtag Big Smile, in collaboration with other businesses we are 'changing our world, building communities, one smile at a time'. Embedding genuine CSR, team-building and making a real difference to under-privileged communities
2021

Celebrated 25 years setting new boundaries for architectural metalwork.
2023

Acquired Albion Design. Setting a new standard for Helical & spiral staircases in the UK.
