Within this extraordinary project, Alloy Fabweld delivered a series of artistically and technically ambitious metalwork elements. Working with Sir Robert McAlpine, their team brought to life a uniquely textured façade, a trapezoidal rooflight conceived by Foster + Partners, a captivating water ripple canopy and a striking feature staircase. They also integrated practical yet visually impactful elements like a glass lift, smoke shaft enclosure and ventilation features, all carefully designed to complement the overarching architectural motifs.

These contributions reflect Alloy Fabweld’s exceptional design, engineering, manufacturing and project management expertise. Their work seamlessly blends creativity with functionality, helping transform Battersea Power Station from a beloved landmark of the past into a hallmark of future-forward urban regeneration.

Battersea Power Station is one of London’s most eagerly anticipated and visionary redevelopment projects. Part of a £9 billion transformation that has turned a former industrial powerhouse into a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood, it blends restored heritage with new housing, retail, public parks and the new Tube extension at Nine Elms. The redevelopment spans 42 acres and includes Electric Boulevard, a buzzing high street, public spaces, homes and offices.
