Aberfeldy Village
Willmott Dixon, Tower Hamlet
During Phase 1 and Phase 2, Alloy Fabweld worked with the client to create steel balconies complete with decking, soffits and fascias. Their scope also included balcony balustrades, winter gardens for residents and car park gates, helping to provide practical, attractive and durable external features across the development.
For Phase 3A, Alloy Fabweld continued their work on the regeneration with the design and installation of canopies, balconies, undercroft soffits, coping and wire balustrades to the walkways. These elements helped complete the building envelope and improve the quality of shared external areas, supporting the wider vision for a more open, connected and welcoming neighbourhood.
The wider Aberfeldy masterplan has been shaped around community, connection and public space. New pedestrian routes, landscaped areas and local amenities have helped open up the estate and reconnect it with the surrounding area, while the architecture takes inspiration from the site’s industrial history and creates a strong contemporary identity.
Across all three phases, Alloy Fabweld’s work combined structural performance with careful architectural detailing. The balconies, balustrades, winter gardens, soffits, canopies, coping and gates were all designed to integrate with the wider scheme, helping to create consistency across the development while supporting safety, durability and long-term use.
Alloy Fabweld’s contribution to Aberfeldy Village reflects their ability to deliver high-quality architectural metalwork on large-scale, phased regeneration projects. Their work helped shape both the residential experience and the visual identity of the development, supporting the transformation of Aberfeldy Village into a modern East London community.
"Alloy Fabweld delivered a high-quality architectural metalwork package across multiple phases of Aberfeldy Village. Their work on the balconies, balustrades, winter gardens, canopies, soffits, coping and gates was completed with precision and care, helping to create a durable, attractive and well-integrated finish for this important regeneration project."

Aberfeldy Village is a major multi-phase regeneration project in Tower Hamlets, transforming a once-isolated estate into a connected new neighbourhood with homes, shops, healthcare facilities, community spaces and improved public realm. Delivered as part of a long-term masterplan, the wider scheme has been designed to create a mixed, sustainable community with new routes, landscaped spaces and a renewed village centre.
Alloy Fabweld played an important role across Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3A of the regeneration, delivering a combined architectural metalwork package worth £10.9 million. This long-term involvement demonstrates the strength of Alloy Fabweld’s relationship with the project team and their ability to support complex residential regeneration schemes across multiple stages.
