10 Weymouth Street
Sisk, London
Alloy Fabweld was appointed by Sisk to manufacture and install the brass cantilever balcony boxes, a defining feature of the building’s shimmering façade. These projecting structures provided valuable external space for residents while giving the rear elevation its distinctive sculptural character.
Each balcony box incorporated high-definition fretted vanity side screen roof panels, requiring careful fabrication to achieve crisp detailing, visual consistency and the required level of finish. The fretted panels added pattern, texture and depth to the façade, helping the balcony boxes sit naturally within the wider brass rainscreen design.
Glass balustrades were used to maintain clear sightlines into the balcony boxes, allowing the clean geometry and crafted brass detailing to remain visible. This helped highlight the sharp lines, warm metallic tones and overall refinement of the façade, creating a strong architectural statement without reducing openness or light.
The use of brass brought additional complexity to the package. The material needed to be handled, fabricated and installed with care so that the balcony boxes achieved the intended visual quality while supporting long-term weathering and natural patination. This required accuracy, workmanship and close coordination with the wider façade package.
Alloy Fabweld’s contribution to 10 Weymouth Street demonstrates their ability to deliver highly detailed architectural metalwork for luxury residential refurbishments. Through the brass cantilever balcony boxes, fretted vanity panels and glass balustrades, the team helped create a distinctive and beautifully finished façade that gives the building its memorable identity.
"Alloy Fabweld delivered the brass balcony box package for 10 Weymouth Street with precision, craftsmanship and strong attention to detail. Their work helped realise the building’s distinctive shimmering façade, combining fretted brass panels and glass balustrades to create elegant external spaces with real architectural impact."

10 Weymouth Street is a bold residential refurbishment in central London, transforming a 1960s building into a distinctive collection of luxury apartments and penthouses. Positioned close to the Royal Institute of British Architects and within one of London’s most design-conscious neighbourhoods, the project required an architectural approach that would give the building a stronger identity while enhancing the quality of the homes.
Designed by Make Architects, the building was reimagined with a striking brass-clad rear elevation, projecting balcony structures and perforated brass screens inspired by the surrounding mews. The wider project added new homes and penthouses, upgraded existing apartments and introduced refined external spaces that help connect the interiors with the city around them.
