FABRICATOR WELDER - ARCHITECTURAL METALWORK

As a Fabricator Welder at Alloy Fabweld Ltd, you are an integral skilled fabricator within our manufacturing business and will be responsible for the fabrication of bespoke products and structural steelwork techniques and part of the team making the architectural products.

You will be a part of the team at Alloy Fabweld Ltd, providing large-scale architectural metalwork across the UK, specialising in staircases, high-rise, residential contracts, cladding, and rain-screen bespoke packages aligned to metalwork packages and for public work contracts - such as stations and infrastructure.

The Role:

The Fabricator Welder at Alloy Fabweld Ltd, is an integral skilled person within our manufacturing business. Responsible for the fabrication of bespoke products and structural steelwork and part of the team making the architectural products.

 

Key Responsibilities of this role:

You will be responsible for laying out and fabricating metal assemblies, being familiar with structural welding, forming and various other fabrication processes. You will use technical drawings and various other specs and verbal instructions for planning and accomplishing the goal and inspecting your own work and meet key project deadlines.

You will be handling metal materials such as - aluminium, stainless steel, and the full range of architectural steelwork.

  • Cutting and joining metal parts for fabricating or repairing vehicle equipment, furniture, tools and various other articles, applying tools like mig-welder, plasma cutter, arc welder, chop saw, oxyacetylene torch etc.

  • Designing and fabricating the equipment and parts for meeting the special or unusual needs, using the manufacturer specifications, calculator, measuring devices, drawings etc.

  • Installing or removing any special equipment like paint machine, grinder, power and hand tools etc.

  • Designing and creating holding jigs that aid in fabrication of the parts in various numbers.

  • Maintaining a record of all the work completed so as to facilitate the accounting activities.

  • Maintaining routine inventory supplies that are used for operating the welding unit via inspection of stocks and ordering fresh stock as and when required.

Essential Skills. Previous experience in metalwork is essential for this role:

  • Competent in Mig welding

  • Experience in Architectural Metalwork i.e. Balconies, balustrades, staircases and structural steelwork

  • Have the ability to read and interpret drawings

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Good timekeeping.

  • Live in/within a commutable distance of Great Dunmow.

 

Work is strenuous, so you will need to be able to work under pressure, and have the ability to carry heavy objects.
