In this role, you will be responsible for managing contracts from start to finish, ensuring that productivity targets and agreed quality standards are met. You will work closely with the team to make sure plant, materials, and labour are in place to carry out the contract efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for managing site-based operatives and ensuring the security of all company equipment. As an Architectural Metalwork Contracts Manager, you will be working with a large-scale architectural metalwork supplier to the UK.
Alloy Fabweld Ltd specialises in staircases, high-rise residential contracts, public work contracts such as stations and infrastructure, cladding, and rain screen bespoke packages aligned to metalwork packages. Most of the works are within the M25 area, and project values typically range from 500k to over £8m and include glass, timber, aluminium, and stainless steel, as well as the full range of architectural steelwork. If you have at least 5 years of experience as a Contracts Manager in architecture and steelwork, you are encouraged to apply with your CV.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing contracts from start to finish, ensuring that productivity targets and agreed quality standards are met. You will work closely with the team to ensure plant, materials, and labour are in place to carry out the contract efficiently and effectively.
You will also be responsible for managing site-based operatives and ensuring the security of all company equipment. One of the essential duties of an Architectural Metalwork Contracts Manager is liaising with main contractors on site to discuss ongoing works and further services of the company.
You will be responsible for producing and implementing contract risk assessments and method statements, ensuring that health and safety procedures are followed throughout projects. You will also be responsible for developing relationships with new and existing customers, making sure that all customers receive excellent service.
If you have the initiative and the ability to solve problems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with main contractors are also essential.
A construction-related qualification or SMSTS qualification would be highly desirable along with holding a full UK driving license.
