This Projects Main element consists of Anodized Aluminium cladding
to an atrium of 9 Floors in two lift shafts covering 4 walls
and a basement, the aluminium had to be supported on a primary
and secondary steel structure which incorporated the required
amount of 3 axis adjustment to ensure that the finished façade
was flat level and true.
Each panel has a 20mm shadow gap to match the adjacent glazing
line; this gap was filled with Black EPDM which is a rubber
compound, this will allow the required amount of expansion
and contraction for the joint whilst providing a black contrasting
surround to each of the panels.
Alloyfabweld were requested to complete many other elements
of work on this project, such as purpose designed louver Roof
Vents, Cladding to the Roof Atrium (which includes the installation
of motorised louvers) and various other areas of cladding
to the top of the lift shaft.
Alloyfabweld had a second team on site completing the installation
of steelwork such as lift support beams and guides, lift motor
supports, and various other items which were all required
on very short lead in times to allow other trades to complete
there works to program.
